Composite and Glue-on shoes

Composite shoes are made from plastic, rubber, and synthetic polymers. They sometimes have a metal core inside them for extra stability. Some are meant to be nailed on and some are meant to be glued on. They provide a superior level of shock absorption not found in traditional shoes. It is also true they are more flexible and can be lighter than a metal shoe.
Composite shoes are a good choice for horses that suffer from lameness due to concussion. They are also good for horses that trail ride on hard terrain. It can also be noted that these plastic type shoes do not throw off sparks in rocky areas and are therefore safe in dry forest settings.
